If the opponent is faster, they will use Wrap once again as soon as it wears off. It does Scratch Damage every turn while preventing you from attacking.
In Gen I, Wrap, especially if your Pokémon is slow enough. Psychic was even more feared in Gen I thanks to the aforementioned Special stat, no Dark-types, having a 33% chance of lowering the target's Special stat, and being the STAB move of resident Game Breakers Alakazam and Mewtwo meant that there was next to no Pokémon in the game that could withstand more than two shots of it. A 90-base power attack with no drawbacks, 10 PP, wide availability as a TM, and a 10% chance to lower the Special Defense of the target make it a popular and powerful move. Psychic (the move), especially in Gen I. Amnesia was promptly slaughtered by the Special split in Gen II, which made it boost Special Defense only. Trying to counter them with a physical attacker is difficult, since they usually have poor Special stats to hold out in battle. Note that the Psychic-type of Gen I is assigned to the Special stat. This means sharply increasing the Special stat back then is like using two Calm Minds in one turn. Gen I Amnesia is this, since there is only one Special stat, covering both Special Attack and Defense. Teleport was eventually made somewhat less frustrating by giving it -6 priority, meaning you're guaranteed to get one move in before the user Teleports away. It doesn't help that the main user of this move, Abra, is very fast, so it will get the chance to use Teleport before you can even attack it. Teleport is a bane of existence for capturing a Pokémon, as it will make the wild Pokémon escape. Either way, things may turn out well for I'm the Villainess' heroes. If he is merciful, that may prove once again why he was worthy of becoming Aileen's loving fiancé, and if Claude punishes Lilia, that may satisfy fans who wish to see Lilia suffer for her misdeeds. Most likely, his reaction to the truth about Lilia will take place near the anime's end, and it will say much about what kind of half-demon Claude really is. Claude doesn't like being messed with, but he's also gentle and lacks cruelty. Claude will likely learn that Lilia Rainworth is behind all this, and he could either punish her severely or forgive her. This may reawaken Claude's memories, and if so, he will experience another test of character. However, Claude is still somewhat conflicted, and he might not make up his mind fully until he and Aileen face a mutual enemy. Clearly, a serious part of Claude's mind wishes to simplify his life and abandon the demon half, which Aileen hadn't expected. So far, he is being cold and distant with Aileen, resisting her romantic attempts to win him back and restore his demon lord status. That's bad news for Aileen, but Claude seems unconcerned.
Without his memories, Claude favors Lilia and Cedric as noble humans, wishing to identify more with them and less with demons. That sort of affair brought them together once, and it may happen once more. Claude's half-demon status may soon get him in trouble, and if Aileen saves Claude in that scenario while defending his demon lord half, they may fall in love all over again. It was mentioned that Aileen's Holy Sword Maiden powers won't reawaken Claude's memories, but Claude's demonic minions and pets are strongly linked to his demon lord title, so that may work instead. There are some risks involved, but if Aileen is careful and acts quickly, she can save Claude once again and simultaneously impress him and restore his lost memories. Claude might even be in serious danger from Selena Gilbert or the Church, but if Aileen can swoop in to save him with the aid of Claude's demon minions, all that may change.įighting a common enemy certainly helped Aileen and Claude grow closer when Lilia and Cedric attacked them in Episode 4, so now, Aileen can sit back and wait for her enemies to make the first move.
This may provoke Claude's demon side once again, and Claude may be in anguish if all this tears him away from his idyllic royal life as a half-human. Many game characters and even Claude's demon minions are determined to interfere, either for good or ill. For now, Claude wishes to identify with his human half and distance himself from his demon lord status, but he can't escape it so easily. As for how Aileen can win back Claude, that problem might already be taken care of.
